YW Hub facility project
Since 1984, and after more than 30 years in Inglewood, YW is thrilled to be growing our presence in the community with the opening of the YW Hub facility – 1715 17 Ave SE – in September 2019.
For more than 108 years, YW has provided services for women in our community. In order to continue our evolution and be responsive to the needs of women and their families today and into the future we need a new facility that will be as adaptable as our organization.
The new YW Hub facility will provide accessible supports for women and their families that include transitional housing, counselling, language and employment skill training, child development and parenting programming as well as support services to manage the organization.
Our goal is to provide a safe and caring environment for the women and families we support, as well as for the community we reside in.
The YW Hub facility will enable us to continue to serve women and their families and expand our programs, allowing us to offer services to additional people.
Current project plans include:
- Supportive, transitional shelter for 100 women
- 90 childcare spaces
- Parenting and family orientated programming and courses
- Employment resource classrooms
- Counselling space
- Fitness, wellness, and multipurpose spaces
- Community kitchen
- Administrative space
The fitness area, community kitchen and multipurpose spaces will be open to the community. For more information on partnerships contact Carla at firstname.lastname@example.org
