Family Resource Network

Family Resource Network programs focus on supporting the whole family.

This includes providing caregivers and parents with skills and knowledge to strengthen family relationships, teaching children and teens to cope with trauma and improve child and youth development by building resilience and fostering well-being.

Our Programs

Family Champions offers interactive sessions, activities and workshops in a safe and supportive space where parents and caregivers can share the everyday joys and challenges of parenting. Together, we explore topics such as attachment, healthy sleep routines, challenging behaviours, and many hands-on learning activities that cultivate connection and community.

Through all our sessions and with the supportive, collaborative guidance from our facilitators, families build stronger connections, deepen parent–child attachment, and grow confidence in their skills. Together we build a caring community, where no one has to navigate parenting alone.

Our Families Forward Facilitators provide experienced, caring in-home support for parents of children under the age of six. Our warm and experienced facilitators meet families where they are at, home or in the community, creating a safe, respectful, and supportive space to learn and grow together. Through personalized visits, parents are supported in building skills and problem-solving strategies that help create safe, nurturing, and effective home environments where children can thrive.

Early Talks is a free program for children under three years old, which helps combat language isolation by increasing caregiver skills and capacity. It promotes nurturing relationships, and accelerates child language skill development.

Infants and toddlers in Early Talks families vocalized about 50 more times each week during the program than their peers. For every month a child’s family is in Early Talks, the child almost doubles their language/early literacy development.
