Tanisha had long been experiencing frightening acts of violence at the hands of her partner. With two young children, and nowhere safe to go, she felt trapped, especially with the holidays quickly approaching. After seeing that YW Calgary offered shelter programs for women and her families, she arrived at our doors the next morning with nothing but two small suitcases and her two sons.
Thanks to the support of donors like you, her path to healing became much clearer. Your support ensures we can continue to assist women like Tanisha and their families when, where, and how they need us most.
