Meet Amina
When Amina fled domestic violence with her three young children, she arrived at our affordable housing facility, YW Taylor Family Home, with uncertainty for the path ahead.
At YW Calgary, she found a safe space, community, safety, and hope. Her children began to thrive in a nurturing environment, and Amina regained her confidence and independence.
One piece of her family’s story was still missing: their dog, Luna, left behind in the rush to safety. When YW helped reunite them, Amina’s children were overjoyed, and her home felt complete again.
Today, Amina and her children are building new traditions and a brighter future, made possible by generosity from people like you.
