YWCA Calgary works closely with professionals across social work, emergency response, health care, human services and community leadership.

We provide practical tools, training and resources to strengthen and better support individuals experiencing domestic violence and housing instability. Together, we create a stronger safety net and a healthier community.

Emergency/shelter services

When seconds matter, YWCA provides direct access to crisis resources, emergency shelter and safety planning. We work closely with first responders and community agencies to make sure no one is left without support.

From domestic violence support to trauma-informed practices, we equip human service providers with evidence-based resources and practical courses that meet the needs of women and families in crisis. When we strengthen our services, we build strong, sustainable communities.

Domestic violence doesn’t stop at the workplace door. YWCA partners with employers and community leaders to deliver seminars, resources and workplace strategies that build awareness and create safer environments for everyone.
