As a family, we are contributing to YW Calgary in support of women and children experiencing trauma. Your support will be recognized in memory of Sheila and Shaleena, honoring their distinct passions and the people they loved and supported….
In Memory of Sheila
Contributions will be applied to YW Calgary’s Transitional Housing Library and Leisure Space in their new Hub Facility in Inglewood. This space will be an area where women experiencing trauma can come for reading, solace and/or recreation. A space that will provide women in transition a place designed for them, because they matter!
Sheila was passionate about supporting and counseling woman at risk and in abusive relationships. This passion was eventually expressed in the book she wrote and published “From Fear to Freedom”.
In Memory of Shaleena
Contributions will be designated to the future project of a newly renovated YW Sheriff King Home Emergency Shelter where Shaleena once worked. A gift that will provide children a haven of support to move them through their time of crisis.
