Project Description

Rose Kohn may have been the ultimate hockey mom.
She believed that participation in sports led to good citizenship and so, for more than two decades, Rose promoted youth sports in Calgary, jumping into leadership and organizational roles in hockey, basketball, fastball and other sports her five sons showed an interest in.
Over the years Rose served on the executive of many amateur sports associations and was the first woman in Canada to become an executive member of a provincial hockey association.
