Project Description

In 1952, girls weren’t allowed in the rodeo, so 11-year-old Linda Onespot-Shouting, a member of the Tsuut’ina Nation, didn’t tell officials that she was a girl and became the first female to ride in the Calgary Stampede, competing in the boys’ wild steer riding.
