Kathleen Mahoney is an internationally recognized advocate and legal expert on women’s rights and the rights of Indigenous people.
A professor of Law at the University of Calgary, Kathleen has been credited as the main architect of Canada’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission and served as the chief negotiator for the Assembly of First Nations in the Residential School Settlement Agreement.
She also led negotiations leading to the historic apologies from the Canadian Parliament and the Vatican for unjust treatment of Indigenous people.
