Project Description

Jocelyn Burgener knows what it takes to build a strong community- hard work. She applied that approach first in her own neighbourhood, then in Calgary and finally for the province as she served as the co-president of her community association and Catholic School Board Trustee in her adopted hometown of Calgary, before being elected as MLA for Calgary Currie for two terms, from 1993-2001. Among Jocelyn’s proudest achievements was her contribution to Alberta’s Protection Against Family Violence Act in 1999.
