Project Description

When Irene Lewis took the helm of the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1998, trades training had a reputation as a second-tier career choice.
14 years later,$178 million in expansions, a successful $80-million fundraising campaign, and a name change to SAIT Polytechnic, Irene had led the transformation of the venerable school into an education powerhouse producing skilled workers for the province and the country.
