YWCA OF CALGARY – 2014-2015 REPORT TO COMMUNITY

The YWCA of Calgary (YWCA) supported more than 8,300 women and their families in 2014 and saw the average length of stay in its emergency shelter and housing programs for vulnerable women increase by an average of 27 per cent, the organization will report at its 2014 – 2015 Report to Community and Donor Appreciation event on Wednesday, June 24, 2015.

The event celebrates the organization’s achievements, milestones and successes throughout the past year and recognizes, in a special awards ceremony, those who have supported the work of Calgary’s largest and longest serving women’s organization.

In addition to the business portion of the annual general meeting, there will be a reception and donor recognition component to acknowledge community partners, supporters, volunteers, individuals and corporate donors who have helped support the organization in its mission to intervene, empower and lead when and where women need it most.
