Continuing Education offered by YW Calgary – Domestic Violence & Mental Health
Lana Bently, YW Calgary’s Director, Program Strategy, introduces our latest offering for Social Service Professionals–Continuing Education!
Every year, thousands of licensed and regulated professionals working in human services participate in learning activities to remain in good standing with their regulatory bodies.
These activities ensure that the people who serve our community remain current with best practices. Ultimately, it makes sure the clients get the best service possible.
In early 2022, YW Calgary wanted to take our support of our community to the next level which led to us launching our Continuing Education program.
This new programming will help support the human service sector by providing accessible, affordable, and accredited continuing education opportunities. These courses are offered both online and onsite at our beautiful YW Hub in Inglewood.
Our programming is approved by the Association of Social Work Boards. This means that you can count our courses towards your required “Category A” learning activities.
Not a social worker? No worries – our courses are helpful for other professionals. If you are a member of the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation or the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association, we have approved courses for you.
Another bonus of choosing YW Calgary for your continuing education needs is that your course fees are used to support our diverse range of programming supporting children and family’s access to housing, parenting support, and counselling programs.
Your registration dollars have a positive impact on our community.
